Redstone Is updating its Web Filtering!

As part of Redstones continuous improvement programme, we have decided to enhance the Redstone Educational filtering platform, Redstone for Schools.

For the past year, our engineers have been hard at work designing and developing our new product "RedGuard".

Redguard uses state-of-the-art technology from various manufacturers to provide a fully resilient, automatically updating, self healing, filtering proxy cluster, which is built for the kind of traffic you see today and will see tomorrow.

RedGuard Features:
* Faster Filtering and Page Retrieval - Using cutting edge technologies to get your pages faster.
* Updated Categorization - Covering many new sites and categories.
* Updated Lexical Filtering - Blocking inappropriate content more accurately with less false positives.
* Clarified Filtering Levels - Content is categorised as blacklisted, greylisted or whitelisted.
* Enhanced Administration - Changes take effect within 10 minutes.
* Coming Soon: Web Management - Enhanced users can make changes their filtering via a new web interface.

What you will need to do: These changes will take place by Thursday the 13th November and for most customers, no action will be needed and the move will be transparent. However a small number may need to change their proxy settings. If you have set your proxy server via IP address, then you will need to update your browsers with the new address. If you want to be sure, you can make the change now and use RedGuard immediately.
